New executive chef Giovanni Lanzante debuts his first seasonal menu overhaul at the downtown Northern Italian restaurant: arancini with pumpkin, ricotta, and roasted red pepper coulis, insalata autunnale with baby spinach, radicchio, gorgonzola, and poached pear, risotto alle verdure with seasonal squash and goat cheese, quaglie alla saltimbocca (Bandera quail with sage and prosciutto), and grilled elk loin with polenta and gremolata.

Panda Fest Denver
Panda Fest makes its Denver debut September 25-27 at Civic Center Park, celebrating Asian food and culture across three days. The festival features 200+ dishes from local and national food vendors, 30+ merchandise vendors, traditional and contemporary performances, hands-on cultural experiences, and a panda-themed bounce house. Founded in 2024, Panda Fest has expanded to more than a dozen U.S. cities. The Denver debut coincides with Mid-Autumn Festival, a traditional time for families and communities to gather and celebrate. Tickets range from $10 to $35; children under 6 are free.

(Un)Altered Books: Unheard Voices, Reception and Artist Talks
This event is part of the exhibition (Un)Altered Books: Unheard Voices, on view now through November 15 at DU Libraries. More than 30 artists and community members explore censorship, banned books, erased histories, and silenced stories through altered books, sculpture, mixed media, and visual art. The Open Case reception features artist talks and discussion on October 6. The exhibition itself can be viewed anytime during regular library hours: Monday through Friday 8 AM to 8 PM, Saturday 9 AM to 8 PM, and Sunday 10 AM to 8 PM. If the doors are locked but the library is open, call (303) 871-3707. Boulder Burgundy Festival
Founded by master sommelier and Boulder Wine Merchant owner Brett Zimmerman, the Boulder Burgundy Festival celebrates its 15th year, bringing Burgundy producers, leading sommeliers, and wine enthusiasts together for an intimate weekend of discovery. Saturday brings Burgundy Above Boulder, a Paulee-inspired lunch at Flagstaff House from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. featuring a journey through the Cote de Beaune poured by leading sommeliers ($375). Sunday at Academy Mapleton Hill opens with Burgundy in Contrast: Chassagne and Volnay, an educational seminar and tasting with producers Sabine Mollard and Nicolas Rossignol from noon to 1:30 p.m. ($175), followed by Burgundy in Full: The Grand Tasting from 2 to 5 p.m., featuring more than 60 wines alongside charcuterie, Riedel stems, and live music ($125). A Complete Sunday Burgundy Experience ticket combines both Sunday events for $250. Proceeds support the festival's nonprofit mission of advancing wine education and community causes.
